Ground Beef Taco Pie

  • 1 frozen pie crust (9 inch)
  • 3/4 pound Crescent ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper, as desired


  1. Bake the pie crust according to package directions.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, onion, garlic, bell pepper.
  3. Season with oregano, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Once beef is cooked through, stir in the black beans.
  4. Pour meat mixture in the baked pie crust. Sprinkle with cheddar.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until cheese is browned. Add your favorite taco toppings, cut and serve!
