Spicy Korean Chicken Drumsticks


  • 12 Crescent Foods chicken drumsticks 
  • 4 tablespoons gochujang 
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce 
  • 3 tablespoons mirin 
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar 
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil 
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru 
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic 
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped 
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish 


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. 
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochugaru, and garlic. 
  3. Reserve 1/3 cup of the marinade in a separate bowl.  Add drumsticks to a large bowl and toss to fully coat.   
  4. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, add drumsticks in a single, even layer.
  5. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, then every 5 minutes brush chicken with the reserved marinade until chicken is just cooked through, about 40 minutes in total.
  6. Top chicken with scallions and sprinkle with sesame seeds, plate and serve.
