Hearty Beef Stew

Ingredients

1 packet Crescent Foods beef stew meat 

3 golden potatoes, peeled and cut

2 large carrots, cut into large pieces

3 tbsp flour

2 tbsp oil

1/2 yellow onion, diced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup water

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried parsley

1 stick of rosemary

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

  • Add the flour to the stew meat and mix well. Add oil to a pot and let it heat up, then add the beef chunks. Flip them so they get a nice sear on each side, then add the diced onion and sauté until slightly softened.
  • Add the chopped carrots and potatoes, and mix.
  • Add the spices and mix again then add the beef broth and water. Mix well, let it come to a boil on medium heat before covering and letting it simmer on low for 1 hour or more, until beef is tender.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
