Garlic Knot Caprese Burgers





For the Burger

  • 4 large garlic knots (recipe below) 
  • 4 Crescent Foods Angus Beef Burgers 
  • 1 large tomato, sliced 
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese 
  • Good quality store-bought pesto sauce 


For the Garlic Knots 

  • 20 ounces store-bought pizza dough 
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 2 tablespoons butter 
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced parsley 
  • Kosher salt 


For the Burger

  1. Grill beef burgers over medium-high heat until cooked to desired doneness. 
  2. Slice garlic knots in half and top with cooked beef burger, tomato slice, fresh mozzarella, and pesto sauce.  Devour immediately! 


For the Garlic Knots 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.  Divide dough into four equal pieces and roll into “sticks”.  Twist and tie the dough into large knots and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden brown and just cooked through.   
  2. Meanwhile, combine garlic, butter, and olive oil in a small microwave-safe bowl.  Microwave until butter is just melted through, about 30 seconds.  Stir in parsley and season generously with Kosher salt. 
  3. Brush knots generously all over with the garlic butter mixture.
