Eid Celebrations

Eid, also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast” is a holiday celebration marking the end of Ramadan. Enjoy this look at how two of our employees celebrated!

Family photo taken during Eid

Javeria spent celebrated with family, as many do. She, her girls, and her mother all wore matching outfits to the festivities.

Nadia shared the following:

“Eid is a special time in the year after Ramadan. I always like to do something to get my family excited for the day. Our Eid party for this year had a Carnival theme. As soon as my niece and nephew arrived, they were able to get fun face paint on their faces to start off the event. My sister and I set up Carnival-themed games like bean bag toss, ring toss, a fishing game, darts, ball toss, limbo, and much more. The kids were able to win tickets for winning games and playing tennis with each other. We also had a BBQ cookout for everyone to enjoy, which included, hotdogs, chicken burgers, corn, and guacamole with chips. The kids also ran around while we took turns spraying one another with silly string.

Our photo booth station was in the background, complete with a Happy Eid banner, a Princess castle banner, and photo props to hold and dress up with while taking photos. We had a piñata filled with assorted candies. Everyone was blindfolded and had to take turns breaking open the piñata. We ended the day with the kids using the tickets they earned from playing games to choose which prizes they wanted to take home. Some of the prizes they were able to choose from were karaoke mics, stuffed animals, an outdoor waterslide, Lego kits, water shooters, hula hoops, surfing boards, and many other fun toys.”
