Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 pounds chicken drummettes
  • Garnish: green onion curls
  • White Barbecue Sauce

Directions

  1. 1. Combine first 7 ingredients. Rinse chicken, and pat dry; rub mixture over chicken. Place chicken in a zip-top plastic freezer bag. Seal bag, and chill 4 to 24 hours. Remove chicken from bag, discarding bag.
  2. 2. Preheat grill to 350° to 400° (medium-high) heat. Grill chicken, covered with grill lid, 20 to 25 minutes or until done, turning once. Garnish, if desired. Serve with White Barbecue Sauce.
  3. Grilled Herbed Chicken Drumsticks: Substitute 10 to 12 drumsticks for drummettes. Proceed with recipe as directed, increasing grilling time to 25 to 30 minutes or until done, turning once. Makes 10-12 drumsticks. Prep: 15 min., Chill: 4 hr., Grill: 30 min.

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Position oven rack about 8 inches from heat source. Preheat broiler; line a broiling pan with foil. Pat drumsticks dry and trim off fat. Arrange in a single layer on prepared pan.
  2. Melt butter with garlic and lemon juice over medium-low heat. Season drumsticks with salt and pepper. Brush each lightly with lemon butter.
  3. Broil, turning often and brushing with lemon butter, until chicken is browned and crisp and has no traces of pink juices when pierced, about 30 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve drumsticks with dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 12 Crescent Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup Millet Flour (or other Gluten Free Flour of choice)
  • 2 Organic Eggs
  • 2 TBS Oil (Or- 1/2 Cup of Dairy Free Milk + 1 TBS of Apple Cider Vinegar)
  • 1 cup Crushed Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • Dash of Salt and Pepper
  • Sauce
  • 1 Stick of margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup Hot Sauce (Or more for a
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. place 3 bowls on the counter. In the first place the Millet Flour, Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper. In the Second whisk together the eggs and oil (or Buttermilk) In the 3rd place the finely crushed Rice Chex Cereal.
  3. Using a paper towell wipe down the chicken drumsticks to remove excess moisture. One by one place them in the flour mixture, then in the egg and finally in the Cereal. Place on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle Oil (of choice) over all of the chicken. I made 12 drumsticks- and drizzled roughly 2 Tbs of Oil on the Chicken. Bake 45 minutes- 1 hour. Flipping once halfway through.
  5. To make Sauce- In a saucepan Melt the Earth Balance Butter, add the Red Hot and Garlic Powder. Stir to combine.
  6. Serve Sauce and Drumsticks together. (and some celery sticks too if you want to)
